Redesigning Rank’s marketing website for global trust

About Project

As Rank prepared to expand beyond Nigeria into Europe and North America, its marketing website needed to evolve from a local fintech presence into a globally credible product story. The redesign focused on clarity, trust, and localization positioning Rank as a modern, compliant, and user-first financial platform for international audiences.

The Problem

Rank’s original marketing website was designed primarily for a local audience and no longer reflected the maturity of the product or the company’s international ambitions. As the business expanded into Europe, Canada, and other Western markets, the site lacked the visual polish, content structure, and trust signals required to resonate with global users.

Key product features such as KYC tiers, savings circles, and diaspora-focused services were either unclear or buried, making it difficult for new users to quickly understand Rank’s value. Additionally, the site did not sufficiently address concerns around security, compliance, or legitimacy, which are critical decision factors in regulated financial markets.

Research & Insights

We reviewed fintech marketing sites across Europe and North America, focusing on how established players communicated trust, compliance, and value within the first few seconds of interaction. A consistent pattern emerged: successful products prioritized clarity over cleverness, surfaced trust indicators early, and structured content around user intent rather than company messaging.

We also analyzed user drop-off points from the website to app onboarding and found that unclear value propositions and feature explanations created hesitation before sign-up. This reinforced the need for a site that clearly explains what Rank does, who it’s for, and why it can be trusted—without overwhelming users.

How it was solved

The redesign introduced a modern, minimal visual system aligned with Rank’s new app experience, creating consistency across touchpoints. The homepage was restructured to guide users through a clear narrative: what Rank offers, how it works, and why it’s safe to use.

Localized content blocks were designed to adapt messaging for different regions, ensuring relevance across markets while maintaining a unified brand identity. Navigation was simplified to reduce cognitive load, and key product features—such as savings, group contributions, and compliance were brought forward with clear explanations and supporting visuals.

Trust signals, including security language, compliance references, and structured FAQs, were integrated naturally into the layout to reassure users without feeling heavy or regulatory.
