Everyone says follow your passion. I followed the money.

Well, that's how I ended up in finance.

My first job introduced me to a world that was much more interesting than a number moving from one account to another. Behind every transaction were questions of trust, identity, risk, regulation and human behaviour. I became fascinated by the invisible systems that allow people to exchange value and businesses to operate.

Somewhere along the way, I found product design — a place where my curiosity about people, technology and systems could meet.

Working in fintech gave me a closer look at how technology fits into people's everyday lives, especially across African markets. It also taught me that designing a product isn't simply about making software easy to use. It's about understanding the people, behaviours and environments that give it meaning.
